Antoine Walker, former NBA player and Chicago high school hoops legend, has fallen on some hard times.  Although he made millions during his playing career, he has had all kinds of financial problems ranging from being robbed to owing millions in gambling debts.

Well the news for Antoine is about to get a lot worse.  In his old neighborhood on Chicago’s south side, there is a building that has been classified as a slum.  Parts of the exterior are falling off, and burst pipes in the basement have flooded the building with, well, shit.  How is Walker involved?  He owns the building:

At one point, bricks fell off the building’s facade, a hazard that went unfixed for months, city records show. Before that, a broken sewer pipe filled the basement with feces, toilet paper and other debris, creating an odor that forced families to move their children out…

Real estate investment companies that list Walker as an investor or principal — Walker Ventures LLC and AW Realty LLC — are the target of more than a dozen lawsuits alleging poor management of numerous properties, unpaid debts and damages caused by shoddy repair work. In one case last month, the city won $950,000 in court-ordered fines against Walker Ventures.

As a basketball player, I never really liked Walker.  He always struck me as that guy on the playground who just kind of hung around the 3 point line always calling for the ball but never passing and complaining about everything.  Off the court he seemed okay, but all these recent incidents don’t exactly cast him in a good light.  In all fairness, he probably has little part in the actual management of the company.  Still, if I put my name on something, I would probably make sure it didn’t have a basement full of poop.

This hilarious, and gross, story comes from Deadspin’s “Waxing Off” feature.  In this edition the ladies were talking about their alleged experience dating professional athletes.  This particular story involved a date with a professional baseball player who was describing a contest going on among some athletes.  I don’t feel too comfortable describing it, so here it is:

Apparently, there was/is some sort of competition centered on “who can take the largest dump” among a circle of professional athletes…When one member of the circle produced a worthy effort, a cell phone picture of the item would then be captured and distributed to all participants in the club. The substance was then ranked on a tornado scale from F1 to F5 by all members. F5 represented the most intense deliveries.

Okay, those are the rules then, simple enough.  What happens next, I would feel comfortable explaining, but it definitely speaks for itself.

As my date strode out of the bathroom, he was starting at his cell phone in rapture. He handed me his cell phone as he sat down, providing no context as to what I was about to observe. So when I first glanced at the picture, I had to really peer at it to comprehend what I was looking at … and when realization set in, I started shaking my head violently, literally throwing the phone at him across the table…

And then he stated, completely straight-faced, “Favre just dropped an F-5.”

Well that’s just amazing.  Over/under is set at 2.5 weeks until Stormin’ Norman tries to start a similar competition.
