The Bears game last night was awesome.  Sure they were playing against an unraveling team with a 40-year old quarterback and some injuries to key defensive players, but it was still sweet.  Aromashodu was amazing and Cutler seems to have retained his confidence even through the toughest of stretches.  The other sweet thing about this game?  The usual December meltdown of Brett Favre in full swing.  Not only that, but in an extremely odd pre-game mic’d up segment, Favre revealed some combination of gay and “having fun out there” that was more unsettling than anything else.  Take a look:

My girlfriend, who doesn’t have that great a grasp of football and only watches occasionally, summed up the media’s strange love affair with the NFL’s all-time interception leader: “Why won’t those guys stop talking about Brett Favre? They think he should be the quarterback, the coach, and the owner, but he’s old!” Well put sweetheart.

Devin Aromashodu is a young wide receiver who has been trying to make the Bears final 53-man roster all preseason.  He is a talented, young wide out, with a lot of potential.  Although he hasn’t played in many NFL games prior to this season, he could be set to have a breakout year with the Bears.  If he makes the team that is.  Since the competition was fierce between a bunch of similarly unspectacular wide receivers in Bears camp (it usually is), Aromashodu decided he had to go above and beyond to win a roster spot:

“I sent flowers to all the coaches, to keep me in mind,” he said Tuesday.

Cute, right?  I mean that’s so sweet, but it couldn’t possibly impact a position battle on a pro football team, could it?  Well those flowers were sent sometime prior to last Tuesday and you will have to judge for yourself, as Aromadoshu made the cut and is listed as the back up wide receiver, beating out Brandon Rideau for the spot.  Also here is the final depth chart as released by the Bears in a cool new graphic.
