When Rodman left the hotel Monday morning without paying the tab, the hotel director contacted the police, Bauer said. Police found Rodman’s stretch limo on the highway and detained the star.

Rodman then paid the outstanding bill along with an additional euro1,700 to dismiss possible legal proceedings, the prosecutor said.

So 3,400 Euro is the equivalent of $5,100 American dollars.  That seems a little low for the known party animal that is Rodman.  Apparently it was pretty low for him, since he immediately paid it and was presumably released.  Coming from the guy who is still grabbing women’s crotches, it’s not all that surprising.

Does anyone really doubt that Rodman will eventually be one of those “made millions during his professional sports career but is now completely bankrupt” guys?  I’m not betting against it.

A woman accused former Bulls star Dennis Rodman of touching her inappropriately at a nightclub early Friday in Miami Beach, police said.

According to an incident report, the woman said she was at LIV nightclub with friends when Rodman walked up to her, whispered something in her ear, then put his hand between her legs and grabbed her crotch area. The woman called security and Miami Beach police responded.

Rodman obviously denies the allegations.  I’m not sure how most people around the country feel about Rodman, but here in Chicago there is sort of a sense of  “oh, Dennis”.  Maybe it’s because of the 3 rings he helped bring back here, but he always seemed like a soft-spoken, nice guy (albeit very strange), in front of the cameras.  And who didn’t love when he carved the Bulls logo in his head?

One thing that gets me about these former pro athletes is that they are in their upper 40s and they are still in Miami night clubs during the wee hours of the morning.  I don’t know about you, but my parents don’t/didn’t hang out in bars and clubs at 3am.  To be honest, I don’t remember the last time I even did that.  I’m not Dennis Rodman though.
