You know what I love?  How ESPN declares this “Judgement Week” for college basketball.  What does that even mean? Oh well, us gamblers don’t care what it’s called, we just love out college basketball.  I’m going to try to make some green this week on the sportsbook after a few shaky weeks.  Also we have a new addition to our online betting team at NQTC, His Jesusness Shuttlesworth.  Two college games? Definitely.

Saturday 2/27 at 11:00 am – Kentucky @ Tennessee (CBB)

  • StevieY19 (13-7) Kentucky over Tennessee: Wall and company finally have a game they can get excited about. A road test against the next best team in the conference should be treated as a tournament type test and I think the Wildcats rise to the challenge.
  • South Side Sheik (11-9) Kentucky over Tennessee: Florida gave the Vol’s trouble with their bigs in Tuesday’s upset win. Last I checked the ‘Cats have Cousins and Patterson who are pretty good big men. Oh yeah, and John Wall.
  • Stormin Norman (11-9) Kentucky over Tennessee: I can talk about John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins and all the talent on the Wildcats.  Or how Tennessee can’t play defense and is missing Smith.  But let’s all be honest, I hate Bruce Pearl and I always cheer against him.  I have no faith in that douche.  Go ‘Cats!
  • His Jesusness Shuttlesworth (0-0) Kentucky over Tennessee: This will be a really close one in Knoxville.
I might give the edge to Tennessee if Tyler Smith were still in the picture, but with only Wayne Chism down low… In conclusion, Demarcus Cousins.

Saturday 2/27 at 8:00 pm – Villanova @ Syracuse (CBB)

  • StevieY19 (13-7) Syracuse over Villanova: What a great match-up. The winner of this one has a serious shot at a one seed.  I’m liking Syracuse because of the home court advantage, but this should be a fantastic game.
  • South Side Sheik (11-9) Syracuse over Villanova: Not the time for Nova suffering through a mini-slump to face Syracuse. Now while both of Syracuse’s losses have come at home, I think they are just playing too good of basketball to lose another one this late in the season. And there’s also my hatred for Scotty Reynolds.
  • Stormin Norman (11-9) Villanova over Syracuse: I’m all Cats this week.  I love Scotty Reynolds.  He is the best ballhog in college basketball.  I know Nova has fallen on hard times and that Cuse is at home, but this is Nova’s comeback game.  Rautins is decent, but when your best hope is a white shooter, your in trouble.  Scottie.  Reynolds.
  • His Jesusness Shuttlesworth (0-0) Syracuse over Villanova: While both of Syracuse’s only losses have
come at home, I don’t see them dropping this one. Rautins has had back-to-back 25+ point games and Syracuse’s offense looks more efficient than ever. Side note: Villanova’s just 4-3 in February. Quote me: Scottie Reynolds will have his second 30 point effort of the season.. in a loss.

Scottie was born for this type of game. I have been watching him since his freshman year in high school. He won’t let this one slip away, Andy is a great player and a good kid, but NOVA has Cuse’s number in the dome despite the number of fans trudging through the snow tomorrow.
