Rose has regressed? He was slowed by injury, missed practicing before the season started and worked through it. Now he is playing 1 less minute per game and scoring 1.7pnts more than last years average. I guess I call that regression. DUMB ASS CANADIENS!!!!

It’s not about anything more than a decision made by him and his family. And anything a player says on camera is for the camera most likely and should be taken with a grain of salt. Unless a reporter asks point blank how he feels about Chicago, Miami, Houston or Toronto…none of what any of you say is worth its weight in SHIT!

Maybe I’m an ignorant American, but I really don’t see how Toronto is a bigger media market than Chicago. First of all, Chicago is a larger city and has a larger population (and I’m not even counting the metro Gary, IN population which draws the Chicago market). Secondly, some of the Canadians here want to fairly argue that Bosh will be marketed through the entire nation. Really? A nation of 35 million in which hockey & Canadian Football are more popular, compared to a metro city population of 9.8 million (per Wikipedia) that has a rich history of basketball tradition from high schools to the professional level. I haven’t even talked about the draw from the entire state of Illinois (save for maybe a small pocket that’s potentially Pacers fans?), Iowa (draws the Chicago market), Missouri (neither St Louis or KC have a team). Finally, Chicago is well known in the media business to be a hub for advertising firms seconded only to New York, home to hundreds of Corporate Giants, and the 3rd (not 4th) largest market in America. I must be ignorant. BUY AMERICAN!!! (<- nah, buy whatever is Cheaper).

sad combination?? huh? it is what it is — we lived it.

He was great. We wanted him to re-sign after the big playoff run. He wanted to re-sign. He did. I still remember the presser — he was giddy. Then AD re-upped; JYD re-upped; Alvin re-upped; Hakeem signed. We thought this core could challenge for a championship.

Then, it simply didn’t work out. Vince got injured the next year and AD, Keon Clark etc. led them to the playoffs and they lost to Det.

Hakeem barely played in a Raptor uni; Alvin really never played much after he re-signed — injuries. It all fell apart.

Grunwald out. Babcock in. The rest is history. Vince then began tanking it – no excuse for that, but I have to admit, the organization was in shambles at that point too with no direction, hence his unhappiness.

So, um, yes — part of me thinks he was justified in wanting out — he just handled it wrong and Babcock made a terrible trade.

There’s your history lesson. No distortion there.

@DBro: No one is going to Toronto. I’m sorry guy. It’s a great city with a big population and blah blah blah. That’s all fine, but it is not where NBA star millionaires want to go. Bottom line. The only reason you have a shot at keeping Bosh is because you can theoretically offer him more money (unless there’s a sign and trade). Stoudemire? Come on guy, he’s not going to want to go to Toronto. There are a million teams with cap space who will be chasing him and everyone else.
