Vinny Del Negro Puts His House Up for Sale, Bulls Fans Get Their Hopes Up

I miss having a pro hoops team to root for.  Why don’t I get behind the Bulls?  One answer, three (maybe two?) words: Vinny Del Negro.  He’s a bad coach.  Sure Stormin’ Norman – we have a decent defense this year.  Whatever.  This guy cannot draw an offensive play for the life of him.  There is zero chance the Bulls will win a championship with VDN at the helm, and an even bigger concern is that he’ll stunt Rose’s development into a superstar.  Clearly Rose has regressed from last year – I was hoping for All Star this year but I think that’s almost out of the question already.

Why am I posting this today?  Because I am hoping (and praying!) that my prayers for a new coach by the start of the 2010 season are starting to take shape.  VDN has put his Highland Park home up for sale, and apparently has no plans as to where he’s going to live next:

Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro has pulled his four-bedroom, contemporary-style house in southwest Highland Park off the market after having listed it for two months for $1.325 million

Del Negro, who purchased the 10-room house in August 2008 from its builder for $1.2 million, declined to comment on why he listed the house and why he pulled it off the market.

Likely, this means nothing.  Hopefully it means we get a real coach in the UC and I can start cheering for the Bulls again.

Isn’t Javier Sandooski Adam Sandler’s character from Duece Bigalow 2 who is featured in the montage of recently deceased gigolos?
