Stormin Norman’s Record (2-2)
Okay okay, it appears my hubris got the best of me. After bragging about my 2-0 start last week, I made 2 awful picks to even up my record at 2-2. How could the Suns lose? I’m going to need to make 2 good picks this week to bounce back. Don’t abandon me yet for your online sports betting, I promise this week will be different. Alright, here are my two picks for this week.
NCAA Basketball — Illinois Fighting Illini over Vanderbilt Commodores (Tuesday 12/8)
Another homer pick, I know, but here me out. Although the Illini have had some bad losses, and even looked so-so in some of their wins, I believe they are suffering from “playing to your competition” syndrome. When they play good teams, i.e. Clemson, they get up and look great (at least during the comeback). Against poor teams they don’t show up. Vandy is good, and the Illini will be also.
NFL Football — Philadelphia Eagles over New York Giants (Sunday, 12/13)
The Eagles had a tough stretch in the middle of the season, but they appear to be coming out of it. They are a decent team on the road and the Giants defense just does not inspire confidence these days, even after last week’s victory. I know this is a must-win for the Giants, but McNabb and the Eagles will put a huge damper on their playoff hopes Sunday night.
