- I came very close to dropping Boise State below Va Tech, because the Hokies have looked very impressive since their loss to maybe the best team in the country in Alabama. However, I am of the opinion that after the beating Utah put on Bama last year, Boise deserves a shot if they run the table and two of Florida, Texas, and Bama do not.
- LSU stays ahead of a lot of other one loss teams for good reason. The Coaches Poll and AP voting philosophy makes me ill. LSU played Washington and won on the road, while USC lost to Washington on the road. Both teams have one loss: USC’s to three loss Washington, and LSU to #1 Florida. Just because LSU’s was a couple weeks later, USC is either four or five spots above LSU depending on which farce of a poll you look at. Gah!
- Ohio State continues to look impressive since the loss to USC. It will be interesting to see how the polls treat the Buckeyes if they run the table. I will continue to treat them with the disdain I hold in my heart. Plus, Miami looks better.
