There was some moving then some shaking in college football this weekend, most notably Washington shocking USC on a late field goal. First the ballot, then a few points.

| Last week’s ballot | ||
- Cal shoots into the top five after a road win against Minnesota. Many predicted the Gophers to come out on top here, but my preseason darkhorse Heisman candidate Jahvid Best was at it again with four touchdowns. The next two weeks are gigantic for the Golden Bears, travelling to Oregon and hosting USC.
- LSU jumps ahead of Penn State for a couple of reasons: that close win at Washington looks a lot better after this Saturday and I’m a little pissed about Penn State’s non-conference schedule.
- I am still refusing to get on the Ole Miss bandwagon, unlike AP voters who have them at #4. They are not right.
- Florida State made me look good for jumping them in the rankings without any good reason last week. They slaughtered BYU while Miami made that close loss in the first week look even better for FSU.
- Also, no one drops out of the top 25 this week. That’s odd.
Let’s hear what you have to say in the comments.
