DustyUsing some fancy metrics I don’t understand, along with tallying up the raw number of games that Dvoracek missed since he was drafted, Football Outsiders has calculated that Dusty Dvoracek is statistically the most injured player of the decade:

What if Dvoracek misses the entire 2009 season, though? Will he be the most injured player of the decade?

…It turns out that Dvoracek wouldn’t even need to miss the entire season to rank as this decade’s most-injured player.

In fact, Dusty only needs to miss 11 games this season to take the award, and may not even need that much if the second-place guy on the list, Dan Cody, retires (as he will presumably do since he was cut from Ravens camp prior to the 2008 season).  Considering Dusty will be missing the entire 2009 season due to his torn ACL, they might as well give him the award now.  I’m sure he and his family are honored to take home such a prestigious trophy.
