Unfortunately, Tyrus Thomas has probably reinforced the Bulls fear of non blue chip prospects. He shows plenty of potential but his inconsistencies are a coaches nightmare. (This previous statement assumes Vinny gets nightmares which assumes he has a somewhat functioning brain. I adamantly don’t believe Vinny has the mental capacity to dream, but am giving him the benefit of the doubt.) Anyways, by the time Tyrus develops his contract will expire. I truly believe he will be in the league for awhile and part of some team’s rotation, but not ours.

I love the part about how we are scared to take risks on non-power conference blue chip guys. I never thought about it that way, but Tyson and Eddy definitely created that mentality. Would Tyrus be an exception to that philosophy? He’s from a big power school (sort of), but he only played one year and was all raw talent with no clean finish.
