Pick ‘A’ for Awful Taste
I really don’t have a lot to say about this, it just seems like a horrible decision by ESPN. The kid died yesterday. And this after their horrible choice/oversight regarding a commercial yesterday. You can’t just play sad music and think that makes everything okay.

Everybody now…TOO SOON!
I imagine they were referring to John Lackey, Kelvim Escobar et al. (which is why Adenhart go tthe start) but somebody dropped the ball on this one.

They’re referring to the three Angels starters on the DL. It has absolutely nothing to do with Nick Adenhart. The professionally offended need to give it a rest.

We know what they are referring to, but let’s be realistic…not the time for that poll question/option.

Is there a grace period? Because if you’re going to be offended on April 10 by something that has nothing to do with Nick Adenhart, I can’t imagine being totally okay with it on April 20 or May 1.
I don’t even like ESPN.

You don’t think that running the poll the day after the Adenhart story played every 15 minutes on their network is any different than running it a month later? Or, you know, scrapping the infinitely unimportant poll entirely?

I don’t think the poll has anything to do with Nick Adenhart. At all.
I think if even mentioning the Los Angeles Angels offends you, you’re probably the type of person that was going to get offended by it at any time.

[...] ESPN online poll-question writer made a poor choice. Today’s will ask which golfer was set back by injuries the most: Tiger Woods or Payne Stewert. <notqualifiedtocomment.com> [...]

The Hernia had a much funnier headline for this.
