I’m Angry And As Usual, It’s Related To Tyrus Thomas

I don’t have much to say about the Bulls game last night.  They blew it.  Bad.  Up 8 with 4:00 minutes remaining the Bulls went on to lose by 2 to the lowly Indiana Pacers.  Anyways, with the Bulls shorthanded and going with a 3 guard offense for most of the game, they needed their big men to crash the boards hard in order to make up for the lack of size in the lineup.  Someone must have forgotten to tell Tyrus Thomas:

STARTERS MIN FGM-A 3PM-A FTM-A OREB DREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF +/- PTS
Tyrus Thomas, PF 31 7-11 0-0 6-6 0 1 1 0 2 2 3 4 -9 20

Ok, that doesn’t look too bad at first glance, right?  I mean great fg%, 20 points, and 2 blocks.  But take a second look.  1 rebound!  1!  And it wasn’t like he played only 15 minutes or something, he played 31 minutes!! That is completely unacceptable.  This is his 3rd year in the league, and while the 18-footer is okay once in a while, he needs to play closer to the rim at both ends of the floor.

I feel sick.
