Bulls Fans Can Get Championship Ring, No Matter What Happens With The Celtics (Randy Brown is Broke Edition)
The Bulls are a decent team right now and show a lot of promise. They may even become legitimate championship contenders down the road (way down the road). That’s where former Bull Randy Brown comes in. He was a reliable bench player on 3 of the Bulls championships. Apparently he has fallen on some tough times recently. Here’s the story from WBBM780:
Former Bulls guard Randy Brown declared bankruptcy after being fired as a Sacramento Kings assistant coach. A federal bankruptcy judge in Sacramento has given West Auctions, of Woodland, Cal., the job of auctioning Brown’s 1996, 1997 and 1998 NBA championship rings.
Those rings look great. I don’t know about the $75,000 expected price on each one, but if I could afford it that would be one hell of a collectible. Either way, it will definitely make you feel better after Tuesday night’s highway robbery by the Celtics and NBA officials.

I mean, if I was broke I would probably sell my championship ring if I had to. Hopefully he’s not using the money to buy crack or something.

He’s not an idiot for selling it to prevent being broke. He’s an idiot for being broke after a career in the NBA. These stupid athletes spend all of their money on ferraris and bling and then 10 years later, they’re broke and need to sell their championship rings. A personal finance course should be a requirement for all players.

I would totally buy one if I had the money. To have the same championship ring as Jordan…ridiculous. Randy Brown is an idiot, but I do remember loving him as a player.
