1) Aren't you actually lending people you disagree with even more power by dedicating a website just so you can privately ridicule them?
2) I say privately, because, let's face it - this isn't getting a million of hits a minute. There are thousands of rant-sites like these, what makes you special?
3) Nothing does, really, but there's this false sense of entitlement that seems to be the engine here. People like Jay spent their time and money in college training for columnist jobs. They have accrued decades of time in their field. Respectable institutions hire them. So why act surprised when he gives his opinion and analysis on matters (it is his job, you know?) What makes your opinion more valid? You guys...have a website...with lots of cursewords...
4) And ultimately you spew more venom than any sportswriter you accuse, because - and here's the reason why I think you guys are totally una-bomber-psycho - YOU DON'T KNOW THE GUY!!! I mean think about that...You're expressing seething resentment and rage towards someone you don't know, on a site that he has probably never heard of, in the internet clogged with dozens of clones (and more reputable sports sites). You think he's 'not qualified to comment' simply because you don't like him.
5)Don't like him? Don't read his columns! Or better yet, don't invest an unbalanced portion of your life obsessed with professional sports and professional sports opinion! That way if you did disagree with someone, it probably wouldn't be the end of the world.
