MARCH MADNESS!! AHHHH!!!
I feel like my head is going to explode from all the college basketball goodness (except for that stupid goddamn Illini game). Although there was only one big upset (did I mention that Illini game?), the games were exciting and fun. Here’s a quick line about each game:
Memphis 81 CS-Northridge 70: Memphis almost blew this one and screwed up my bracket, but thanks to some random guy named Sallie who hit 10 threes, the Tigers overcame the whatevers.
North Carolina 101 Radford 58: Whatever.
Duke 86 Binghamton 62: Binghamton came out playing with a lot of energy, but Duke still held them off early and then when the adrenaline wore off for Binghamton, Duke ran away with it.
Connecticut 103 Chattanooga 47: All I know is that I looked over at this game numerous times to check on it and I kept seeing UConn alley-oops. Real classy Huskies, maybe ease up a little when you’re up by 40, huh?
Oklahoma 82 Morgan State 54: Down goes Griffin! The only way to stop him is to flip him or hit him in the nuts of course.
Gonzaga 77 Akron 64: Heytvelt is good. It feels like he’s in on every play.
Villanova 80 American 67: Nova did not look good for most of this game. Did my boy Scottie Reynolds make a single good decision? They are lucky they won this one.
Washington 71 Mississippi State 58: I needed a break. It wasn’t all that interesting anyways.
UCLA 65 VCU 64: UCLA won a very tough game, but they played pretty well. Sucks for all you jokers that had VCU winning this one (I’m one of those jokers).
Purdue 61 N. Iowa 56: Dammnit.
LSU 75 Butler 71: I thought my boys from the Horizon League would take care of business, but they trailed most of the game. Matt Howard being in foul trouble really killed the Bulldogs.
Michigan 62 Clemson 59: Ok StevieY, Clemson was overrated.
Texas A&M 79 BYU 66: This one was never close, but UConn has to be a little nervous to play the Aggies after their dominant performance yesterday.
Maryland 84 Cal 71: Fear the turtle!
Texas 76 Minnesota 62: The Gophers sucked the whole second half of the season, what made you think the tourney would be any different?
WKU 76 Illinois 72: Please don’t mention this game to me. Ever.
