Derrick Rose’s Mom Goes Street On StevieY19
Last week I posted a video of Derrick Rose’s effortless win in the Skills Challenge at All-Star weekend. I posited the question, “Was Derrick Rose even trying?” about his victory. Some NQTC readers felt the need to comment on that story, which is always encouraged. StevieY19 commented a few times in the thread, and I will consolidate the relevant portions here:
StevieY19: This contest was the biggest joke of the weekend. Worse than the trophy for the HORSE competition because it wasn’t as funny. Rose looked good and yes it was effortless, but there was zero effort in the whole thing. Rose was the fastest lazy bum in the competition. Chester Frazier would have run away with this thing.
I only caught the end of the HORSE competition and I thought it was good. It can also get better, which is exciting. I just mean the trophy was intentionally shitty, and also very very funny. Thanks to the point guards, the “skills challenge” was also intentionally shitty, yet not funny at all.
Well someone who appears to be Derrick Rose’s mom, or is posing as such, did not agree with StevieY’s assessment, and she commented back to let her feelings be known:

It may not have been as entertaining as u would have liked it to be but you wit ya comments actin like u know everything can kick rox. my baby made it from the chi and u didnt so stop bein tired and wack and go somewhere. Biggest joke of a competition ever. Tony Parker looked like he’d rather play a season for the Clips than partake in that jokefest.
